Crocs late Thursday lowered its forecast for the second quarter and 2008, saying domestic sales have softened.
Shares dropped $4.06, or 45.4 percent, to $4.89 in premarket trading, after closing at $8.95 on Thursday. The stock has ranged from $6.75 to $75.21 over the past year.
Crocs expects profit between 3 cents to 7 cents per share for the second quarter, much lower than the 42 cents to 47 cents per share previously forecast. Analysts polled by Thomson Financial estimated a profit of 41 cents per share for the second quarter.
