Bei bestimmten Preisen wird es egal, ob der Boden erreicht ist oder nicht. Aber wenn man Pfizer mit Merck vergleicht, dann sieht Pfizer bei vergleichbarem Preis einfach deutlich schlechter aus:

MRK reported earnings of .60 for Q4 which included a .25 hit due to the Vioxx issue. The front loaded the costs of the recall. They expect to make 2.60 or so next year. They are buying back shares, etc. MRK is doing all the right things. PFE still has a vulnerable product. The FDA may force them to take Celebrex off the market. The Vioxx issue is all baked into the price of MRK. Not so with PFE.

MRK has 3.41 in FCF per share. PFE 1.66.

Goodwill & intangible assets are 13% of MRK's current assets & 4.2% of total assets. GW & IA are 145% of PFE's current assets & 46% of total assets.

MRK has paid back $3.0B in debt the past year. PFE has borrowed $3.1B in the past year.

MRK's FCF is 114% of gross debt. PFE 66%.

MRK's revenue per share is 50% higher.

MRK's has projected earnings of 2.60 a share for next year including the Vioxx recall & related costs. No one has a clue if the FDA will pull Celebrex & what the effects that may have on the share price.

Just my 2 cents. I bought some PFE in my fantasy account looking for an overall sector bounce. PFE may get some of my real money but I will wait for things to shake out. I bought MRK about 6 weeks after the Vioxx recall after the press had their fun & the ratings agencies had their say. The bottom was tested 3 times on high volume before I put my cash in MRK. I will wait & watch for a big nasty bottom on high volume in PFE. If it gets tested & retested successfully, I may put some cash in there but not until that happens.
