Application of large-scale energy storage in the Netherlands The heat released during cooling is stored in the aquifer also. If possible, the heat is used for heating during the winter season. This combination is called "Cold storage and low temperature heat storage". The largest ATES project in operation is for supplying cooling and low temperature heat to the buildings and laboratories on the campus of Eindhoven University. Both the cooling and heating capacity of the store are 20,000 kWt (5,700 Tons and 68MBtu/h respectively).: http://www.iftechnology.nl/pdf/ATES%...10dd6d69d638cf http://www.iftechnology.nl/pdf/Bigis...6c234edc2e43d6 The Application of Aquifer Thermal Energy Storage to a City Centre Carbon Emissions Reduction Programme at the South Kensington Cultural and Academic Estate, London, England Imperial College London are leading the renewable energy power generation study. http://intraweb.stockton.edu/eyos/en...TIONS/5A-2.pdf Aquifer Thermal Energy Storage in the Netherlands Status beginning of 2005 http://www.iftechnology.nl/pdf/ATES%...10dd6d69d638cf Oberflächennahe Geothermie Heizen und Kühlen mit Energie aus dem Untergrund Ein Überblick für Bauherren, Planer und Fachhandwerker in Bayern http://www.stmugv.bayern.de/umwelt/k...c/geotherm.pdf "aquifer thermal energy storage": http://www.google.de/search?as_q=&hl...s=&safe=images Linkliste "Saisonale Speicherung, Aquiferspeicherung, Straßenspeicherung, Beheizung von Verkehrsflächen, Start- und Landebahnen": http://www.geothermie.de/saisonale_speicherung.htm Powerpoint-Präsentation zu Prinzip und Randbedingungen: http://www.iftech.co.uk/Brochure.ppt...esentation.pdf Homepage + Adresse von Iftech: http://www.iftechinternational.com/nl/eos/eos-fs.html Weg: 168 km, 2 h 08 min Energy from the ground up [interseasonal heat transfer] S. Gordon Power Engineer (see also Power Engineering Journal) Volume 19, Issue 4, Aug.-Sept. 2005 Page(s):20 - 23 Digital Object Identifier 10.1049/pej:20050403 Summary:This article describes a new carbon-free heat technology which could be used to heat buildings and roads in the future. Interseasonal heat transfer (IHT) is a process by which heat energy is collected and balanced between periods of demand and excess supply. It uses simple underground energy stores to turn solar energy collected by suitable surfaces, such as asphalt, into useable energy. Surplus heat energy from the sun is collected during the summer and stored in the ground for use in winter. Cooling energy is collected during winter and stored for summertime use. Current developments in this technology are presented. |
